Michigan Writers on the Air
I review new books of poetry each month on Interlochen Public Radio. The show is called “Michigan Writers on the Air.” Aaron Stander interviews some great writers—Bonnie Jo Campbell, Sara Paretsky, National Book Award winner Jamie Gordon, and more. My review is usually in the last ten minutes of the show.
Record-Eagle
Each month, usually the first Sunday of the month, I choose a poem by some contemporary or classic poet and comment on it. The feature, called “On Poetry” appears in the Northern Living section of the Record-Eagle (Michigan Press Association’s 2011 Newspaper of the Year).
Spirituality and Health
I write a weekly blog called “Meditation Made Local” for the online version of Spirituality and Health magazine. Our local meditation group has an hour-long book discussion each week before our regular meditation. In my blog, I describe our conversations, week by week, and add a few thoughts of my own.
